Active Substance Epitalon
Packs 1 vial x 10 mg
Epitalon, also known as Epithalamin, is a peptide well known for its anti-aging effects. It has been researched intensively due to its antioxidant functions and is equally as good, if not better, than melatonin. It may hold immense longevity value. Continue reading to delve into the world of Epitalon and its advantages to your health.
What Exactly Is Epitalon?
Epitalon contains four amino acids: alanine, glutamic acid, aspartic acid, and glycine, and is derived from the natural peptide epithalamin that is in the pineal gland. Developed through the research of Vladimir Khavinson, a notable Russian professor and gerontologist, Epitalon was developed to hit the aging process by reversing organ function. Khavinson, now Director of the Saint Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology, initially extracted Epithalamin from calf pineal glands. Due to production constraints, however, he synthesized Epitalon as an efficient alternative.
How Is Epitalon Applied?
Epitalon is administered intravenously or intramuscularly, or transdermally through the skin. This administration route is essential becauseĀ peptidesĀ are broken down in the stomach and intestines and cannot enter the bloodstream whole and thus cannot function as intended.
Although early findings are encouraging, most of the studies that have been conducted on Epitalon were in animal models and cell cultures. Thus, the full spectrum of potential health benefits and safety profiles of Epitalon remains to be found. A consultation with a medical physician should be sought before taking Epitalon and not as a substitute for approved medical treatment.
